Hello to our Cowboy Classic friends, past and present! This year is our 10th anniversary so we would like to celebrate with some fun additions to the weekend.

First, each competitor will receive a Cowboy Classic 10th Anniversary T shirt. We will also be giving out spot prizes throughout the show: Great Save, Great Run, Funniest Falloff,etc.

We are also offering the chance to sponsor a number for $100 (1 and 6 are already taken!) and have your name or business called with each run of that number.

A big change to our Sat. evening will be that after our pot luck supper, we will be having a charity auction. Jim Beere, of Jim Beere Auctions, has kindly agreed to provide his services and auction off items donated by Little Rahane Farm,friends and family.All of the proceeds will go to fund a Christmas food parcel for our son, A.J.’s family in Pond Inlet, Baffin Island. Food up north is unbelievably expensive and the family often struggle to provide food of any sort. A gift of food, at this time of year especially, really brightens their lives.

If you have something you would like to donate, let us know, or bring it with you to the show. If not, bring money to buy something!! Jim is a real professional, and is sure to make the evening a ton of fun.

 DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: 

Form Submission Deadline: Aug 31
(we need to place a t-shirt order so need everyone’s forms by then)

Payment Deadline: Sep 3
(This allows riders to hand deliver payment on Sep 2 or 3 to Kathleen or Stuart – who will be at Perth Fair, or Karen – who will be at Spurlane)

Entries are only considered “received” when PAID IN FULL.

Entry Fees

  • Open -$100.00 per team
  • Seven – $80.00 per team
  • Four – $60.00 per team
  • Youth - $20.00 per team (16 years of age and under)

An Admin Fee of $25 is to be paid by each rider along with your entry submission.

Entries are only considered received when paid in full!

Important Details

  • There will be a riders meeting at 8:30 am on Saturday morning.
  • All riders are asked to sign an insurance form at that time.
  • The Open Class will start at 9am prompt! To be followed by the Seven class and then the Four Class
  • The youth class will run TWICE on Sunday.
  • There will be no herd holders
  • Clean runs, up to a maximum of 30 runs per class, will run the next day, followed by the top ten in each class. See Class run order at bottom of page.
  • No Zero (0) runs will count; you must sort at least one cow.
  • NO HORSES ARE TO BE TIED IN THE ARENA OR THE OUTDOOR RING.

  • Highest placed team consisting of 2 riders rated 1
  • Fastest Time of the show on 10 head

Need someplace to keep your horse?

Limited panels are available this year and this means fewer pens for rent, so book early! You are welcome to put your own pens up in the indoor arena or outside Cost for renting a pen: $50 each (non-refundable) and that fee must be included with your entry fee.  These pens are limited and are on a first-come-first-served basis.

What about the food?

Breakfast and Lunch – As always, the 4H club will be here both Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday Evening Pot Luck –If everyone could please bring a large dish to share, that would be great!  2016 was great! So many main course dishes, thank you!
