Hello to our Cowboy Classic friends, past and present!

Following the success of last year’s auction, we will again be having a charity auction. Jim Beere, of Jim Beere Auctioneer, has kindly agreed to provide his services and auction off items donated by Little Rahane Farm, friends and family. If you have something you would like to donate, let us know or bring it with you to the show. If not, bring money to buy something! Jim is a real professional and is sure to make the evening a ton of fun.

In addition, on Friday and Saturday of the show, raffle tickets will be sold at $10 each with the prize being a handmade quilt (see picture below). Nicole Brazeau, a boarder here at LRF, has generously donated the fabric, her time and talent to make the quilt. The draw for the winning ticket will take place during the Auction so be sure you are there. Pictures of the quilt will be posted when they are available.

Again this year, all of the proceeds will be go towards funding for a Christmas parcel for our son Adrian’s family in Pond Inlet, Baffin Island. Food up North is unbelievably expensive and the family often struggles to provide food or other necessities of any sort. A gift, at this time of year especially, really brightens their lives.

 DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: 

Form Submission Deadline: Sunday, Aug 25, 2019
(we need to place a t-shirt order so need everyone’s forms by then)

Payment Deadline: Saturday, Aug 31, 2019
(This allows riders to hand deliver payment to Kathleen  – who will be at Perth Fair, or Karen – who will be at Spurlane)

Entries are only considered “received” when PAID IN FULL.

Entry Fees

  • Open -$100.00 per team
  • Seven Handicapped – $80.00 per team
  • Four – $60.00 per team
  • Youth - $20.00 per team (16 years of age and under)

An Admin Fee of $25 is to be paid by each rider along with your entry submission.

Entries are only considered received when paid in full!

Important Details

  • There will be a riders meeting on Saturday morning prior to start.
  • All riders are asked to sign an insurance form at that time.
  • The Open Class will start promptly at 8AM! 
  • The youth class will run TWICE on Sunday.
  • There will be no herd holders
  • Second go will be for Clean runs, up to a maximum of 30 runs per class, followed by the top ten in each class.
  • No Zero (0) runs will count; you must sort at least one cow.
  • NO HORSES ARE TO BE TIED IN THE ARENA OR THE OUTDOOR RING.

Ratings: Ratings for this show are posted.

Run Limits

Open – 6 runs (no draw runs allowed)
Seven – 5 + optional draw
Four – 5+ optional draw

Time Limit – 60 seconds

Prizes

  • Open – Buckles and 50% CASH-BACK
  • Seven – Buckles and 50% CASH-BACK.
  • Four – Buckles and 50% CASH-BACK
  • Youth - Prizes and 50% CASH-BACK

Additional Prizes for: 

  • Highest placed team consisting of 2 riders rated 1
  • Fastest Time of the show on 10 head

Need someplace to keep your horse? 

Limited panels are available this year and this means fewer pens for rent, so book early! You are welcome to put your own pens up in the indoor arena or outside Cost for renting a pen: $50 each (non-refundable) and that fee must be included with your entry fee.  These pens are limited and are on a first-come-first-served basis.

What about the food?

Breakfast and Lunch – As always, “Eddie’s Eats” will be here both Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday Evening Pot Luck –If everyone could please bring a large dish to share, that would be great!  2018 was great! So many main course dishes, thank you!
